Renewing your mind with God’s word is one of the most important things that you could do for yourself. You think, perceive and reason with your mind. Thus, your thoughts and the calculations of your mind will determine the things that you say, and ultimately the actions that you will take. For this reason, it is especially important that you know what God’s word says about you and your life. When you know what God’s word says, it becomes more difficult for the enemy of your soul to deceive you into believing His lies, and much easier for you to follow the will of God.
The bible says in Ephesians 4:23 and in Romans 12:2 seen below that you can renew your own mind and receive a fresh and new way of thinking.
Ephesians 4:23 says, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind…” and Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
The two scriptures seen above inform you that you can live above the norm, and that you do not have to succumb to thoughts of the enemy. When you have experienced a mind renewal, you are able to combat the devil with the truth of God’s word! What a blessing! Also, when your mind is renewed by the word of God, you will begin to think like God thinks, and to speak like God speaks, and, in time, get God’s result!
Therefore, daily renew your mind with God’s word, so that you are prepared to defeat the devil when he comes to wage a war against your soul.
