The word Abba in the Greek language means Father, or Daddy. If you are a son or daughter of God, you have the distinct privilege of calling God, Father. Galatians 4:6 says, “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” You have a Heavenly Father that loves you unconditionally and cares for you deeply. Therefore, you are not alone, and you do not have to live in fear.
Abba is your protector! He is your provider! He is the ONE who offers you guidance and supplied you with tools to achieve success in life. No matter what unfolds before you, know that Abba has your back!
Romans 8:15-17 says, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ….”
Below are several essential points from the above scriptures:
You are adopted into the family of God. His family is not governed by fear.
You are freed from the spirit of fear. Therefore, fear should not govern your life.
You can cry to Abba, and He will hear and answer your call.
You have an inward knowing that you are God’s child.
You are an heir. Therefore, you are entitled to collect your inheritance.
As a child of Abba, you qualify to partake in all of His promises. You are a rightful owner of everything that belongs to God, and His Son, Jesus Christ! Every spiritual and natural blessing belongs to you! When you grasp this reality, you will never be the same. Your days of living in fear and being intimidated by the devil will be a thing of the past. You are the object of God’s affection! Embrace His love for you!
