Have you ever had a dream and didn’t step forth to carry it out due to fear of the unknown? When was the last time a door of opportunity opened for you, but you didn’t walk through the door because you feared that you didn’t have the ability to make it happen, or you feared being criticized? How many opportunities have you missed due to a whisper of doubt or fear of failure? Fear is a dream stealer! It is a thief and, if allowed to run rampant in your life, it will steal your peace, your joy, your confidence and, ultimately, your dreams.
You must decide to stop the thoughts of fear and doubt from attacking your mind, telling you who you are, what your capable of, and what potential lies within you. Realize that fear and doubt ugly voice echoes the unseen, the unborn—things which have yet to happen. Therefore, fear is not based in reality. Fear ultimately comes from a liar, Satan. Remember, he is the original author of the whisper of doubts or the paralyzing fear.
St. John 10:10 says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” Satan is the real thief! His game plan is always to take from you. But, if you are a Christian, he is fully aware of who you are, whose you are, and what you possess! His lies are mere attempts to keep you from fulfilling the destiny that God has designed for you as His son or daughter.
Grasp that as a Christian fear does not belong to you. It has no place in your life. Second Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” This portion of scripture clearly tells you that timidity, a lack of confidence, and spirit of cowardice doesn’t fit you! However, God’s ability and might, the miraculous, agape love, and a sound mind is what you are clothed with!
You can achieve any God-given dream. Fear is not an option!
